In 2005, a new play debuted in Summerside, Prince Edward Island and is destined to be a Canadian classic. Gilbert and Anne is a love story based on the sequel novels of Anne of Green Gables. This year is especially important, as it is the 100th anniversary of publishing the first novel that has been beloved by generation.
Enjoy a leisurely drive over to PEI where will check in our Summerside hotel for the evening. Enjoy a dinner at a nearby restaurant before we take in the show. The rich story and classic songs are sure to last in your memory long after the curtain closes.
Following a delicious breakfast at the hotel. We will spend some time exploring this picturesque island. We will make several stops for sightseeing and a few stops before returning to Saint John.
