Day 1 Oct 19 Massachusetts
We depart this morning for the state of Massachusetts. Comfort stops and stretch breaks will be made along the way. After checking in our hotel, enjoy the amenities of the hotel or take time to get to know your traveling companions. This evening enjoy dinner at one of our favourite Steak Restaurants. (D)

Day 2 Oct 20 Lancaster
After a wonderful breakfast we depart for Lancaster, PA, where you will receive a “Dutch Country” Welcome. Arrive in Lancaster, PA late afternoon. Our lodging this evening is the Country Inn of Lancaster where you will enjoy an indoor pool, a restaurant & lounge next door & Amish-style quilts on the beds. Dinner this evening is at the Bird-In-Hand Family Restaurant, a wonderful buffet-style meal set in the middle of the Amish countryside. (B, D)

Day 3 Oct 21 Lancaster
This morning after breakfast meet your personal guide to begin a Guided Quilting Tour of the Amish area. Enjoy a variety of quilting attractions, quilt shops, fabric shops, and more. Tour the Lancaster Quilt & Textile Museum. This museum focuses on the rich & diverse history and traditions of quilting, decorative needlework and other textile arts. It also features a one-of-a-kind permanent exhibit as well as a unique museum store. A special room at the museum features a live quilting demonstration. This afternoon explore the Lancaster’s Central Farmer’s Market.– the oldest continuously operating in the country! Enjoy lunch (on own) in downtown Lancaster. This afternoon we will take time to do a little more shopping at some specialty shops for fabric. Enjoy dinner tonight at Miller’s Smorgasbord. This evening take a self-guided tour of the National Christmas Center, a one-of-a-kind Christmas “museum”. A definite must-see attraction in Lancaster – it’s been featured on the Travel Channel and in Martha Stewart Living – you won’t believe the unique quilt on display in the lobby! (B, D)

Day 4 Oct 22 Lancaster
Enjoy another great breakfast we will meet our guide at the hotel and begin our guided Farmlands Tour Our guide will take you off the beaten path, to places you probably wouldn’t find on your own – you’ll be educated about the local Amish people, have the opportunity to ask questions, AND visit a quilt & craft shop on a Amish farm and an Amish bakery. Time for lunch (on own) and shopping at the Amish Kitchen Kettle Village. Lots of unique shops to explore in the quaint little “village,” including their famous canning kitchen (with lots of free samples) – and homemade fudge. Enjoy a guided tour of the Amish Farm & House and walk through an original 1805 farmhouse. furnished as an Old Order Amish home of today. In the Crafter’s Barn, an employee and her Amish friend will be discussing & demonstrating quilting, and will be happy to answer questions. Tonight enjoy a performance of “In The Beginning” at the Sight & Sound Theatre. Witness the splendour of Creation and breathtaking beauty of the Garden of Eden filled with live and animatronics animals. Dine tonight at the Hershey Farm Restaurant, a delicious all-you-can-eat family-style feast. (B, D)

Day 5 Oct 23 Massachusetts
Enjoy our last breakfast together in Amish country. We arrive in Tewksbury, MA
and check in our lodging property at the Fairfield Inn. Dinner this evening is at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant (less than a block away). Homemade cooking. (B, D)

Day 6 Oct 24 Home
Breakfast at the hotel before departing for home with many new quilting ideas. Your director will have lots of activities to pass the time. (B)
