April 2013
Day One
Today leave New Brunswick with an early evening arrival in Boston. There will be time to relax and refresh before dinner. Dinner is served in Boston’s oldest Italian Restaurant where you will be surrounded with old-world charm and aromas of home cooking.
Day Two
Your day will begin after breakfast with a 2 hour Freedom Trail Tour of Boston. Visits include the New and the Old State Houses, The Boston Tea Party, The Boston Massacre, Old Granary Burying Ground, Paul Revere’s House and Old North Church. Walk through Boston Common, witness the spring blooms and breathe in the amazing fragrances. Then Travel to Falmouth, MA, a seaside town of eight unique villages, a historical Cape Cod summer resort destination and a vibrant, year-round community. Early afternoon, embark on a guided tour of Spohr Gardens. This beautiful six-acre Cape Cod woodland garden is located on Oyster Pond and it offers a magnificent display of thousands of daffodils and azaleas, along with many woodland plants. Check into your ocean-view North Falmouth hotel and savor the flavors of the sea as you dine ocean-side, in the hotel’s renowned “Red’s Restaurant.”
Day Three
Rise and shine for a continental breakfast served at the hotel. Travel via high-speed ferry from Hyannis port to Nantucket to celebrate spring at the Nantucket Daffodil Festival. Witness over 3-million blooming daffodils, an antique car parade, a daffodil dog parade and shop for local crafts. There is food and entertainment around every corner. Upon arrival on the island, embark on a 1-hour guided driving tour that showcases historic lighthouses, cobblestone streets, charming houses and meeting houses, all bordered by daffodil-lined streets. Return to Hyannisport in time for dinner featuring a traditional New England Clambake complete with lobstah’s, steamers and a bib to catch all the butter!
Day Four
Enjoy a continental breakfast at the hotel, pack your luggage and prepare to check out. We will climb on board the Cape Cod Central Railroad for a 2-hour scenic brunch excursion. This vintage train will take you past the many cranberry bogs, marshes and bridges along the Cape Cod Canal. Savor the flavors of a sumptuous brunch during your ride. Next, travel to Sandwich and tour the Sandwich Glass Museum. This unique museum tells the history of the town of Sandwich through the glass industry.
