The chairperson of this event, Jen Lavoie, gives this description:
“The dates are November 10th-18th, 2012. The reception will most likely be the first Saturday of the show. (Details still under construction)
Our Featured Artists will be: Elizabeth Guth of Tunbridge Vt., Cathy Henning of Burlington Ontario, and Ann Winterling of New Hampshire.
The theme will be Time, Motion and the Miracle Challenge. The Miracle challenge will involve a special project for members to create a small mat of specific dimensions expressing their definitions of a Miracle.
We will have again a wonderful raffle rug, a silent auction at the reception and as usual the diverse and wonderful collection of 24 vendors with all types of rug hooking and textile supplies!
Group Tours of the new Yoder Gallery devoted to the Museum's permanent collection of hooked rugs, and several other exhibits are available for groups upon request for an additional fee.
Boxed lunches are also available for tour groups and there will be guest speakers, education and demonstrations each day of the exhibit. That schedule will be posted on the website (www.gmrhg.org) as it becomes organized. Our new "cafe" and education area was a great success at the 2011 show!”
