The Trans Siberian Rail Journey

on board the Czar’s Gold (ZarenGold)

Special Rates, Itinerary, Features
June and July 2019 only

This is how these summer journeys are different from what we have seen in the past 25 years!

Due to an incredible demand for the Trans Siberian journeys this year, it has been decided to add these departures to the existing 12 tours that are just about full!

Here is how they have been designed:

  1. Five ZarenGold train wagons are attached to a train that includes regular wagons.
  2. The Ulan Bator – Beijing train leg is eliminated
  3. Fly between Ulan Bator and Beijing instead of by train
  4. Two options:  Moscow – Ulan Bator OR Moscow – Beijing in either direction
  5. Same excellent train and land services as we have experienced for years…After three nights in Beijing a scheduled flight takes you from Beijing to Ulan Bator.  On day 6 the train journey takes you from Ulan Bator, Mongolia to Moscow.

The Czar’s Gold train – enjoy your proven comfortable accommodation while checking another one of your points off on your bucket list!!

To embark on this journey, for many travelers, is to fulfill a desire from when one was but a child. Crossing from one continent into another without changing countries makes you realize how huge Russia is.  To put things in perspective,  an American only has to deal with three time zones for 48 states, while here, Russia is so vast that it has 9 time zones.  The enormity certainly dawns on you when you realize it is approximately 2,400 miles from Lake Baikal to the Ural Mountains (the Asian/European border).

See you on board!

After three nights in Beijing a scheduled flight takes you from Beijing to Ulan Bator.  On day 6 the train journey takes you from Ulan Bator, Mongolia to Moscow.

Czar’s Gold train is waiting for you, and your next nine nights this will be your “home”.  After a full day on Lake Baikal, and as a pleasant break away from your “rolling” bedroom, one night en route in Irkutsk will be spent in a 4-star hotel (or spend the night in a yurt!).

This private train journey takes you through inspiring and constantly varied landscapes – and all without the hassle of having to re-pack suitcases every day. With the Czar’s Gold train usually covering long stretches of the route at night while you sleep peacefully in your private compartment, there is more time for memorable excursions during the day. Enjoy exploring the fascination of these three old countries.
